Garrett Gomez was most recently a Partner of Fundraising at Sandlot Partners. He was responsible for raising equity and debt capital across Sandlot’s investment portfolio through extensive development of relationships with family office, HNW, and RIA investors, in addition to active portfolio oversight. Sandlot’s portfolio is comprised of commercial real estate, growth equity, and energy. Garrett presented in-depth analysis pertaining to portfolio and deal specific detail to investors as well as strategically negotiated investor terms and deal economics in accordance with investor mandates (institutional vs. individual).

Prior to Sandlot, Garrett was a Director at WAY Capital. His primary focus / responsibilities included capital raising, deal structuring, and deal execution. He built and managed client relationships to strategically advise them as to the most accretive / lucrative deal structures for their business model, and worked across the capital stack (JV and preferred equity, mezzanine, stretch senior, whole notes, etc.)

Prior to joining WAY, Garrett was an Assistant Vice President at Miramar Capital, where he took part in the underwriting, diligence, and closing of 29 deals totaling over $1.3B across nearly all asset types and risk spectrums nationally, with a focus on California and Southeastern regions.

Prior to Miramar, Garrett worked on the acquisitions team of Arc Capital Partners, an LA based commercial real estate investment firm, underwriting value-add multifamily and mixed-use properties. Preceding his time at Arc, Garrett worked with Graymark Capital, a San Francisco based commercial real estate investor, on the acquisition and asset management of value-add creative office properties. Prior to Graymark, Garrett was an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he focused primarily on debt underwriting and relationship management.

Garrett completed his MBA at the University of Southern California, where he concentrated in Commercial Real Estate Investments, and received his B.A., Summa Cum Laude, in both Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. He has also served on the board of multiple non-profit organizations such as the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA).

Garrett enjoys time out with friends and family, snowboarding, and is an avid runner / fitness enthusiast.
